George was born on September 9th, 1988, in São Paulo, Brazil, to Greek parents. His grandfather had immigrated from Thessaloniki to Brazil. Despite growing up in Brazil, he ”feels 100% Greek,” Georgios told the Greek Herald back in February 2025.
He went to university to study law, but found that he was “an entrepreneur at heart”. He founded Oakberry in 2016 using the last coin he had. The timing was mental.
